You can get a 3850 or 8600GT, those are some cheap cards that will allow you to use HDCP. But playing 1080p is out of the question, cause of the processor. Not alot of low end dual cores will play a full length 1080p movie.

Only thing i really do not like about it is the onboard graphics, those usually suck compared to even a lower end card like a 7600GT.Other then that you should be fine.

yeah im not keen on the onboard but it will do for now
not to fussy about films playing higher than 720p tbh, 8-10gig for a film seems a bit of a waste if you know what i mean :P

call me stupid but what is HDCP

i think im going with xp as it seems to work better with xbox's over vista but will see

will have a look at them gc and see how cheap they are im rather tight when it come to pc's give me a console any day of the week...

Not bad for the price. Most OEM's I see in stores in the $350 price range are single core eMachines lol. I'd stick with XP for XBMC purposes, if you have all your boxes networked Vista will wreak havoc. You will most likely have to use ccxgui to get all your Vista PC's to work with XBMC. There are several releases of XP SP 3 floating around.

Well it came a day early

good news, came with a 320gig hd and a wait for it,

A ATI HD 3650 FOR FREE !!!!! what more can you say

now the gc has no vga so its running on s-vid at the mo ( its like watching a video in the 80's Hehe )

SO should i buy a dvi2hdmi or dvi2vga or a dvi2vga converter?

Been reading about oc'ing Should i overclock it? or really not worth the hassle?

Last thing i went with vista but i can also have x64 should i go x64 or say x86

thanks booboo

You might be able to overclock it a bit, really depends on the mobo specs, bios options, and RAM. Reading up on the newegg reviews, it looks like the E2180 is overclockable. If you have a HDTV with HDMI input, it definitely is worthwhile to get a HDMI-->DVI adaptor, the 3650HD has two DVI ports, the video quality will be night and day compared to S-video. S-video on a HDTV is supposed to be terrible quality. The DVI will surely be better. With a dual core and HD3650, there is no reason you can't watch videos at 720p.

Good deal booboo, makes me want to snag a dual core OEM just so I can use HDMI-->DVI. But I've put way too much research into building a high end PC to go that route, hopefully next paycheck I will be able to order the parts. I get paid Friday, it's going to be tough to wait two more weeks!
