HAving an issue...

When I open the site, I don't see the top banners....Not sure why. Here is what I see...just a black area.

Well two glaring things jump out, Internet Explorer and Norton. 99% chance it's a setting with one of those that has to do with blocking banners or something. They are both evil, but NAV wins out for worst PC product of the two, not by much though.

I agree with LS 100%, when I used Norton and IE I could never view sites as intended, I know this because people posted screens from firefox without Norton and my view was nothing like theirs. At minimum, I would ditch Norton and find a new AV, in my perfect world I would say buh bye to both Norton and IE, and say I love you to Firefox and a better AV alternative such as Nod32

tricie,
get off of the browser used by those that "follow", be a leader and move towards Firefox. I recommend 1.5 which is available here @ XS. Then follow the "make it faster guide"...oh and gt rid of NAV. AVG Free Edition is probably a better move to get you going.
