Hi peep's
I was just wondering if any of you guys have ever used gimp, and do you think it any good, it does look very similar to Photoshop, only it is most probably not as professional or feature rich as Photoshop is, but gimp is free, most of the other photo editing software is freeware/shareware, and has limitations to 30 days???? And also i am a typical englishman, FREE always sounds good to me. ![]()

GIMP isn't to bad actually...for the average user it's abut all you would need for schoolwork and things f that nature. As fr looks...there's actually a skin package out there that will make it look close to photoshop.

It's a ritual. Some twit tries to rep his e-cred and hacks my site. No worries though...I back it up regularly.

I'm a little bit late to this one but I like GIMP. I'm really getting used to using Linux as is without importing too many 'Windows Only' apps and GIMP is no exception.
Just a lil' FYI. Open Office is quite nice, FREE, and compatible with almost all Office related applications. Especially the new Office 2007. |

I have used GIMP in the past and I didn't have any problems with it. Although, I do prefer Photoshop over it, simply because it is more popular than GIMP, and I am more familiar with the commands and controls of Photoshop.
