Microsoft Launches IE 8
Microsoft today launched the newest version of its Internet Explorer browser, IE8. According to the company, the browser is more secure than its predecessor and allows users to reduce common browsing tasks.
CEO Steve Ballmer said: "With Internet Explorer 8, we are delivering a browser that gets people to the information they need, fast, and provides protection that no other browser can match."
IE8 is touted as being integral to Windows 7, Microsoft's planned operating system. Features in the new browser include a right-click menu on a postcode opening Google maps, or right click on a word offers various services, such as translations. |
