Buy, Sale, & Trade

There's been talk amongst our members. Should we bring it back or continue life without it here.

For those of you that don't know, we've tried 3 different variations of a B/S/T section and they all didn't do as well as we would've like. But on the other side of that, it was very very early in our existence. So, what do you all think...Should we bring it back and if we do, who plans on using it?

I dont see how it would hurt. I dont plan on using it, but if something I do see catches my eye I would much rather get it from an XS member than some random dude on Ebay.

That is a very good point. Didn't think of it like that...

I voted no. Main reason being that we have maybe 15 or 20 regulars that comprise a lot of the non staff posts, if they don't use it, it'll just be a waste.

I voted yes, and for the same reason as Stang. Not because I have anything to sell, but it would be there to check every now and then. And if I wanted somehting, I would just post what I wanted. And if I never get a reposnse, then it wouldn't be the end of the world. You can always have the thread expire after a certain period of time so it doesn't get cluttered with junk. I mean, look at the reviews section. How many reviews have there been since it was started? Not many, but I still go there to take a look and I liked the few that were posted. But LS has a good point. I guess it would seem more appealing if there were more active members. Just my 2 cents. :angle:

Hi tEChniiQue

I voted yes, i agree wholly with Stang, i would most certainly purchase something from a member of the XS team rather than buying something/anything from some dude, who is just out to make a fast buck/pound, and rip some poor person off in the process, however, this could be monitored to prove successful, and everyone would benefit, also this could be used as another tool for enticing new member's to sign up for membership at the XS site, which is what we all want in general?? and this in turn would create and open new avenue's

I also think LS is right in some area's with what he posted, but we could all help and make sure that this time, it is a success, throwing in idea's maybe a moderator, could assess the whole B/S/T area, every now and again, just to make sure that thing's are running smoothly, and maybe they could all help by doing some kind of a rotational system, and this in turn would add safety and security for the overall sales/purchase's from the XS site??? Just my opinion and tow bob's worth :-D

Another good point would be to make member's new and old to wait up to a certain amount of time, before they could put anything up for sale/trade/buy and this way everyone would have a fair input, similar to the arcade idea, 50 post's before you play, i thought that was very fair indeed, and i am still here :-D
What ever is sold, make sure there is no comeback on xtremesource

Yeah I'm more neutral, I'm just remembering before that I don't think a single sale was conducted over buy/sell, so if we bring it back, just make sure it gets used. If it's what our members want, then we should appease them.

also if i need something, this will be the first place i check in on
