Do not post negative feedback! Even if you are 100% in the right. Because the loser you are giving the feedback to will just reply and lie about you. So now I have 1 negative feedback. My first one. I've only used Ebay maybe 5 or 6 times in the last few years, and now I have a comment on my name that I "totally scammed" this guy. He screwed me over with a used PS2 that didn't work. I lost about $30 in this transaction. Maybe my feedback to him was harsh, but I was angered by my loss of money and his crappy attitude. So he gave me a negative, painting himself as an honest seller who got scammed by me. The whole feedback thing on Ebay is a joke. The USPS tracking number on his PS2 said that he received it. So he is definitely lying. But to the Ebay community, it's a "he said-she said." He didn't cheerfully give the money back. He stopped communicating with me altogether and I was forced to file a claim. I'm an honest person and didn't ship him a box of bricks. But people don't know that. I don't understand why people can't own up to stuff and why they resort to lying.
Do not trust xxgreat_findsxx on Ebay!

Hello blackmath
I have never really like ebay, when i first joined up and saw how great a site it was, it did have me buzzing for a while, anyhow i did once get ripped off on ebay by someone, and it is a few year's ago, and that has/does make me very wary, so i tend to stay well clear, and use ebay only as a resourcing tool, ie getting to know exactly what kind of price's i am looking at for second user good's and then adding a few pound's to the sum and buying new of course depending on what i am buying/looking for, and that way i do not give the potential rip off merchant's an opportunity to rip someone else off??? Thank's for the info :-D Ps it annoy's me that a lot of inocent people are being ripped off daily, by something that has become very big in it's time, and still people are getrting ripped off, and it is not a nice learning curve, to keep getting ripped off from ebay and the like? :-D

that does sound like quite a joke. you can't even leave true feedback to let others know that this person will most likely put that broken PS2 up and resell it to another person.
I figure at $30 a pop he could get quite a bit over a year with a few broken systems. Sell them, get them returned, keep the money.

Hi steimy
YES you are right, i think it is disgraceful, you should be allowed to leave negative feedback, if the person that you are buying an item from, is a bad seller for any reason, it should be noted, or even reported to ebay, which should then be kept on a confidential file, and if the same person, doe's this deceitful trick as in ripping off an innocent consumer, up to three time's within a certain time lapse, ie maybe three time's in a year, then the fair thing would be too either ban that person for a certain amount of time, ie maybe three month's, to teach them a lsesson, and if it goes on and on, they should be permanently banned from using the ebay service's/system ever agin, this in turn would ease and make the whole iodea of selling/buying item's much more safe and secure for the overall consumer/buyer :-D

Just to clarify, he didn't make any money off of this transaction. I payed $97 for the system with two games and shipping. The system did not work and only one game was in the package. I filed my claim with paypal. Once they reviewed the transaction and all correspondence between myself and the seller, I was awarded the $97 minus a $27 fee. I also paid for shipping it back. So in the end, I have no PS2, I lost $30 and I have a negative feedback.
Seller's accusation against me - "I was scammed" Seller's Lies - "I cheerfully refunded buyer the money" No he didn't. Paypal took the money from him to give back to me. "I never received the PS2 back from buyer" - Yes he did. I sent it and tracked it on USPS and he did receive it. In fact, paypal tracked it and did not refund my money until they saw that he received it. The only thing he has against me is that he can say I shipped him dirty socks or something instead of a PS2. But I think I have a chance to reply to the negative feedback. I'm thinking about what I should do. I'm going to think hard because I believe that I have the last say in this. But to add insult to injury, Ebay only allows you to use a certain number of characters in a response. So I have to be succinct, yet powerful.....get my point across in as few words as possible.

Hehe, i come from the exact opposite school of thought! If someone wants a war, bring it! LMAO! LS's approach is a lot more desirable, but putting up a good fight is always fun. If he wants to bash you, smear him with the facts and make it so NOBODY will ever consider doing business with him. Just my opinion though......after 4,100 posts, I think im the only aD addict to get in deep trouble with this strategy, but im sure we all know the reprucusions when you decide to take an aggresive front.

Thanks for the comments guys. Much appreciated. That didn't come off as preachy LS. You have much more experience in dealing with these people than I do. Even though I am enraged and want to go with Stang, I have to say that after thinking more about it, I'm going the LS route. I am allowed to post one reply to his negative feedback, but he is also allowed to post a reply for the final word. It's just not worth it. If I had the final word, then I would go for it, but I don't want to give him the satisfaction.
The times I use ebay are so few and far between, and they are just for casual purchases. Apparently, he's trying to sell used consoles as a business. My negative feedback for him is more damaging than his negative feedback for me. The only damage to me is my pride and swallowing it, knowing that I am right. Just have to be the better person. If I could track him down, I would totally confront him for questioning my character. I do have his address, buthe lives in a different state, and I could probably get arrested as a creepy stalker. What ticks me off is all the research I did to get my MC exploit working, and all that was remaining that I needed to get was a fat PS2 :-) So I never got to try it. Oh well, I used the money to get my XBOX modded, and now I have something to play around with until next year. Live and learn! Cheers!

Good deal man, in the end karma has a way of evening stuff out. If someone is sheisty online, chances are they are in real life too. Sheisty people tend to associate with other shesity people, so chances are this guy's quality of life isn't very good. Live and let live.
