Same principle as the other threads, post a pic of a video game character, and we have to guess what game he's from. For bonus points you can name who he is, but to advance, you only need to guess correctly what game he's from. Whoever guesses the correct game gets to post the next pic. It can be characters from console or PC games (If you play MMORPG's, please don't post characters people have created, just characters that're related to the main story and present in all versions of the game).
Anyway, here we go.

It originally debuted on the SNES, and was a watered down version of the Japanese game, which included fewer random battles, less cure all items at the beginning of the game, and bosses with reduced HP.

Yet another clue, the US version was dumbed down and is generally referred to as easy type. Later translation groups released the original version. In Japan it's IV, in the US it's II.
