![]() Samsung really just seems to have an insatiable appetite for pushing the mobile industry's limit because right after they came out with their 8-megapixel camera phone, they've bumped up their camera quality to another two megapixels! Feast your eyes on the very first 10-megapixel camera phone, the B600. What makes this phone stand out other than the 10-megapixel camera it sports is that unlike other camphones, the B600 performs most of the functions that your digital camera has. It has 3x optical zoom, 5x digital zoom, and an LED autofocus feature which helps users to take clear pictures even when the lighting is not that conducive. Of course you can opt for the manual focus and disable this feature if you wanna do it old school and flaunt those photography skills you have. The phone also supports white balance and interval image capturing functions, which you'll be able to fully make use of with its 2.3" chromic LCD that can display up to 16 million colors. You can also record videos in QVGA resolution at 15-30 frames per second. And since you'll be storing tons of images and videos, Samsung has bumped up memory capacity as well -- 80 MB of internal memory AND a Micro MMC card slot. You'll have Bluetooth and USB to take care of your connectivity woes, as well as Media player and DMB if you wanna watch the tube while you're on the move. As with most nifty gadgets nowadays, the Samsung B600 is currently available only in Korea and sells for 900,000 won (which is around US $ 900). The very first 10-megapixel camera phone measures 126 x 53 x 20.4 mm, weighs 173 grams, and comes only in black. It's sad that this won't be making U.S. shores, so if you want one, perhaps it's time to chummy up with your friends over in Korea, eh? Source : newlaunches

So if you don't mind carrying around a phone the size of a nestle crunch bar, you're all set. Call me a purist, but I like my phone to be - well, just a phone. Besides, with two kiddos, goodness knows this thing would end up in the bottom of my purse with any crevices filling up with goldfish crumbs.

well first off you can keep the phone and just send the girls my way, LOL
That being said i have owned 2 camera phones so far and found little use for the camera part. Although i can really see where it would come in handy. Not many people carry a camera everywhere they go, but with a camera phone that is not a problem. You have a picture you just need to take you whip out the phone and take it. May not be the highest quality but at least you can get the shot. The most i used mine for was when i had my older Motorola that had no USB connection for the PC. I though, why buy screensavers when i can just take a photo of pictures on my PC desktop and use those. Now with the new Razr i can make screens, ringtones, themes and all that and just transfer to the phone. Then again i am not a teenager anymore. Those wacky kids use those phones as if they were born with one in their pocket. calling, texting, sending photo's, playing songs, browseing the web or getting their email. Like a portable multimedia center.

Steimy - I totally agree, the use of phones as a multimedia center seems to have taken off with todays youth. As I said earlier, I'm a purist. I like a phone as a phone, my iPod for music, online text messaging - I like to keep everything separate. Not that I don't like efficiency... and I'll do an occasional text message/photo with my phone - but I'm not in the same league as these kids.
I actually just got a new cell phone, it was a promotional Samsung... has a camera and all, even Bluetooth... but its small, unassuming, nothing fancy like the Razr. And I only downloaded one ringtone... which is the theme from the Fresh Prince of Bel Air, LOL. Normally, I don't even download the ringtones - just use a standard one. Yes, I like making my own wallpapers and such, but that's about all. Who knows what phones will be capable of by the time my boys are old enough to want them.

pixelina, you should check into that new phone. A lot of newer phones have a USB cord that you can use to hook it to the PC.
If it does then you could get that. Then most likely find the needed software to do transfers online somewhere ![]() It was worth the $20 i paid for the cord since now i can make my own ring tones from any CD or MP3 file. And make any picture i can find my wallpaper, and of course download whole themes. And best of all except the cord it is all free. Now i have some nice swing music as my ringtone (Cherry Popin Daddies-Zoot Suit Riot to be exact) I just can't see paying for ringtones, most of which i do not like that much anyway.

man how cool would it be to have a phone that has 10 megapixels in it that would be so nice and to take picture with it that would be awesome but it would be a while before i could ever afford something like that.
