I just got a zen, it's 30gigs and plays videos. I love it, it's so much better than ipod

I've chosen not to iPod anymore, a iPod nano 2gb here is £140, a 20gb Creative Zen is £110, In about a hour or so I'm off to buy me one and I wouldnt have it any other way looking at the price.

Even though the zen may cost less, i think the ipod has more capability. I bought my ipod video so i could watch my favorite shows(LOST and Family Guy!!!). The graphics are great for the size screen and the screen is pretty big for a handheld thing like an ipod. Ipod also can be a pain, but i still preffer it over zen. When it really comes down to it, it depends wat the user wants it for and how much space they need and just what they preffer.

The iPod has many advantages over the Zen -- more than the Zen has over the iPod.

People bash iTunes, but if you take time to fiddle around with it, it's one of the best media players available. For example, the playlisting capabilities/smart playlists. It's customizable to the full. Winamp & mediamonkey are great media players, but, even if you just want to listen to music, iTunes is one of the best, if not the best.

Creative need to stop trying to emulate the iPod in their designs. The Zen:Vision M, for example, looks the same as the iPod 5g, except it is a lot bulkier. The Zen touch is a poor attempt at copying the iPod. Don't get me wrong, the creatives sound a lot better than the iPod, and are the better product -- but that isn't enough. The iPod has the iTunes integration (and YES, you can D&D if you know what's crackin').

The iPod IS a fashion accessory to some, and it DOES scratch easily.. only last 18 months etc.. but you need more than that to sell. iPod is a lot better than people give credit for.

No, that's the average lifespan of the lithium-ion battery. It's the same with all lithium-ion battery operated things, but I believe the iPods' batteries are of poor quality.

My zen, I had for about a year now, and still work great. 40GB never even got past 5gb on it. lol. I'll get an iPod next month and compair, see how better it is, or worst. Down part about my Zen, NOT USB2. :cry:
