ipod to new computer

so i'm transferring computers. I went to my music folder and copy "itunes" folder. and paste it to my new pc. The problem i'm having is that, the album art, and some of the arties info is missing. It's going to be really pain in the *** to fix over 1000 music. So how can i transfer my itunes exactly i had it. I did try the "import" on itunes and all it gave me was itunes datebase music file. HELP

If you have an external HDD or flash drive you can copy things to your new PC as is. Depending on the size of the flash drive it may take awhile, copying files, transferring, deleting, and repeating. How are you transferring them currently, via remote sharing?

i'm transfering it with exterinal hdd, but the music tag got messed up when i put it back to itunes. Like missing album art, same artist but in differnet artist selection. What i did was copy the music folder and dumped it in itunes. same amount of songs but music tag has been missing and changed. and i have lots of songs it'll take hours to change all that. oh and missing lyrics.
