extracting vocals

hi, i wanted to ask you lot if any of you know of a program or method that allows me to extract the vocals from any song and make another mp3 out of it? Thanks.

I dont know if thats possible, but it possible to do the oppsite. Removing vocal, simplely lowering some audio channels.

Sounds like an in studio program. something like a transcoder, but the finished product would result in individual channels. recognition of the dynamic layers and filtering output/extraction into seperate sounds. I know i'd like to have a program like that. Have you tried afterdawn?

I saw something recently where it said it could split a track into like 8 or 16 channels audio, but can't remember where I saw it

There's a program called FASoft n-track studio 24 bit...

Here's a link to it, not sure if it does what you want, but it's a trial version so doesn't hurt to try it http://www.kvraudio.com/get/277.html
