Surprise: DS Loads Much faster than PSP! - XTREME-SOURCE

Gamestop recently investigated the difference of load times on the PSP and DS. The conclusion is that the PSP takes a hell of a long time to load, with very few titles loading sub a minute. The average load time for a PSP game clocked in at 103.4 in comparison to a mere 24.5 for the DS.

To be fair, once you manage to get past the initial load time, subsequent loads from standby mode are much quicker. Booting a game from standby generally takes a handful of seconds. I know Sony are not getting anything right at the mo a PS3 with stuff in it we dont want a PSP tha loads so slow you can eat dinner before it loads the game, What is next ?

In a way it's not fair to compare, because the PSP is 10x more powerful than the DS, but I agree that's ridiculous. I can't wait 10 minutes for XBMC to FTP to my Xbox, so I'm pretty sure I'd throw the PSP out the window before any game ever loaded.

there's a video on youtube where a dood waits about 3 minutes to get to the first fight in season mode of some wrestling game....that is stupid. yet he shows the review of the game and it says that the load times are compairable to other games.

That is true LS but i think user would of liked it more if it was only had 5 times more power and justed loaded fast

@P Yeah I agree. The PSP is an overpriced kiddy toy imo. Virtually everyone I know who has one doesn't really use it, at least not for games.
