Rumor: Wii-Specific Version of The Sims?

The latest issue of EGM (USA magazine) spills out some interesting new rumors. One of them is that EA are working on a Wii specific version of the Sims and another is that Microsoft are trying to make World of Warcraft an Xbox 360 via making an Official keyboard peripheral for the Xbox 360.

Quote:
The latest batch of rumours from US publication EGM have now been revealed from the November 2006 edition's dedicated column.

They are as follows:

Despite earlier rumours of a Virtua Cop game on Wii, an FPS spin-off will likely come to the PlayStation 3.

Road Rash and Desert Strike are heading to the next generation of consoles in the near future;

Microsoft is trying to coax Blizzard into making World of Warcraft an XBOX 360-exclusive for the console scene, by creating a keyboard peripheral for the system;

Electronic Arts is working on a Wii-specific version of The Sims;

2K is developing an unlicensed football game (American football or soccer, unspecified, although likely to be the former);

Harmonix (recently bought by MTV) is to make a new music game that features multiple instruments and has online capabilities;

A sequel to The Godfather is currently in progress;

Next year the PSP will see remakes of Final Fantasy I-VI, although it is not clear whether this will be one large package or separate releases.

Also it was revealed that Team Ninja's DS project does not necessarily rely heavily on the touch-screen.

If they did this,they would almost win it all....think of all the people out there that want a portable way to lan it up with their buddies. And with about 6 million playing right now...no telling.

We were talking about this in the shoutbox the other day, no idea why it took them so long to do so. The 360 can power a sweet looking version of WoW that would single-handedly keep the system going, even if there were no other worthwhile releases. People would be willing to pay for XBL for something like WoW.

Here's the recomended system requirements for WoW on PC

Recommended Specifications

Windows® System 2000/XP OS:

* Intel Pentium® IV 1.5 GHz or AMD XP 1500+ MHz
* 1024 MB RAM
* 64 MB 3D graphics card with Hardware Transform and Lighting, such as NVIDIA® GeForce™ FX 5700 class card or above
* Broadband Internet connection
* Two-button scroll-wheel mouse

The 360 would totally be able to play this at high res without a problem...even without changing too much script if any. The only thing that would slow it down is the load on the servers....which is the same as the PC version.

The best move they made with WoW is not the game itself,it's the fact that damn near any machine can run it. Even on dial up...amazing if you ask me.
