Karl asked the 'girl next door' from Mens Health how he could get his girlfriend into playing videogames. She replied maybe he should buy that new Nintendo console with the 'stupid name' as it's designed to suck ladies into the world of gaming. Karl, we say to you, worry less about videogames and more about doing what your girlfriend wants.

Hi PTU
Ha ha ha that is an interesting read indeed, funny though as my girlfriend has never been into video games, but i do not see that as a problem, we all have our own little vices, and should always respect what each other decides, my girlfriend is however an avid fan of David Bowie, so christmas gifts are not too hard to find ha ha ha :-D Although as normal i get more enjoyment in the actual giving rather than receiving presents, just to see her face is enough for me :-D

Because "Menshealth" has the definitive word on what video games are all about and what sell them.
Women like what they like....no telling them any different.

It seems my idea of what women or at least what my idea of what my wife likes in gaming isn't anywhere near what I think it should be. I took the time to ask her opinion the other day and her response was.
"Racing games, but not like PGR, or NFS, I like the drag racing games. I like Destroy All Humans too. I don't like the sport games the controls are way to complicated, and I don't like the shootem up type games because of the violence. That new game that is coming up for the 360, Viva Pinata or whatever it is, that looks interesting. It reminds me of the Sims but it looks childish though." After she said that, I was left wondering how any game company had a chance at getting women of this type more into gaming. There are some women who are just as into the action, sports and adventure games as much as any guy ever thought about, but lets face it, there are a lot more with the same "Oh, I just had my nails done, so I can't pick up the controller" attitude that the games that are currently out just does not appeal too. I for one would love it if my wife were more involved with gaming as it would add another facet between us that I am really interested in to bring us closer together.

If my wife gets any more involved with gaming i may as well move out, On the 360 my GS is just under 6000 and 80% of that was done by her

That's how I'll know the woman of my dreams, she'll be a hard core console RPG junkie like me, and look like Jessica Alba.
