wii messaging

is anyone else having troubles using the message/friends system with their Wii? both me and my friend added each other's wii numbers, yet both of us are still incapable of messaging each other. can anyone give me a solution to this problem?

also, i added a friend's email address to my wii address book, yet i cannot email him. i know that in order for me to do so both parties of the friendship must add each other. my question is: how would he add my wii number to his email address???

please help asap. thanks, and i apologize if this was already posted elsewhere.

incase you want to reach me personally PM me id put my wii number up, but obviously i don't remember it and im too lazy to get up and check. thanks again

I edited out your email, spammers feast on emails posted in public forums.

i checked it today and it worked. one of his Miis were even wandering around on my console. i guess that it just takes a while for the friend connection to be made. now i just need more Wii friends...
