Hey guy's
read the following info? Wii launches and accessories run dry! [Geekpulp] Thursday the 7th of December was great for only one reason and that was because at 12.01 a.m. the Wii console officially went on sale here in NZ. For those of you who missed out on the launch altogether, you can check out the full run down on the GP website for the launch details. The event was definitely a success and the GP store certainly filled to capacity (boy, was it hot) but the only thing I was really there for was to collect my (non pre-ordered pre-ordered) Wii (and nevermind, I won’t be explaining that one to you if you don’t know me). I now have my Wii and I have been playing it non-stop since launch. So, what do I think of it? Well, I don’t want to fill this page with rantings about how great the Wii is or how much fun it is to play. Once I have had about a week or so with it, I might blog about the intricacies of the console then (or perhaps Newsboy will add something later since he also pre-ordered for launch day). What I can tell you is that there was a supposed ’shortage’ of some important accessories for the Wii, namely the all important nunchuk. It was rumoured that there was a nationwide shortage of nunchuks in New Zealand and I can definitely tell you that this rumour is just a rumour. If you’re one of those unlucky Wii fans who missed out on getting an extra nunchuk at launch, never fear. If you visit your local Gamesplus store, you’re bound to pick one up because they didn’t have a Wii launch and therefore, should still be in stock - of everything, including the consoles. I don’t know how long this will last for though, so if you REALLY are desperate to grab hold of anything extra that sold out at either Gameplanet or all of the EB stores around NZ, get to your local Gamesplus store pronto. Consoles, Controllers, wii What can i say ? :chef:
