Wiikey Installed !!

well after a month of reading i decided to get a wiikey

i was going to installed my self but could bring my self to soldier it

so i payed somebody to do it but i was there to i can explain

the case has many screws a small philips a tri-wing in need

there are some very small and thin wires BE CAREFULL THEY BREAK EASY

the wiikey is surpose to be quick solider but it wont line up right so a wired install it recomended

six points to solder 2 very easy but 4 are very close togther and very easy to bridge

once installed we tested before putting back together it booted first time

the game we tested was a converted ntsc-pal (pal wii)

put wii back together

all done

now the good part testing games

as per usualive got my greedy gruby hands on every iso

ive been burning on ritek g05 as they give the best results on the gamecube

its a wiikey so its updateable buy a setup disc if you wanna play multi regien game you will need to set it or it wont boot other regeins (only done once)

theres an option for a sound fix (gc problem) and what speed to read the dvd
best results @6x as this is what the problem is with the cyclowiz its only reads @2x making fmv imposs to view

so tryied the pal problems game warioware,cod3,rayman

all worked it tryed some more all working perfect as oringals

ive tried a couple ntsc games all working will list once finshed testing,

now for gamecube games

pal gc boots fine,
ntsc needs a swap if you have a gc you will of heard of gcos
you will a wii version of that to boot ntsc games (or vise versa)

every game booted

im trying the multi dvd maker later today also got some pics to post

Cool man, glad it worked out for you. Now you can keep the kids busy with the Wii while you play 360.

Me Too!

Just wanted to add that I also went with the Wiikey. Got it in the mail today, ripped apart my Wii and soldered that baby in! Installation was really easy, took me about 30 minutes from start until I was able to try out my first game. Worked great! I did a lot of research before buying this chip and would like to say that I am very satisfied. I'm sure they'll just get better and of course cheaper, but I am really happy with it. My two cents!
