Several WiiKey Clones on the Loose, Disc Dumper Update - XTREME-SOURCE

The WiiKey team has announced that there are now several clones of their mod in circulation. The 'best' cloner out of them all is Wiikey.com.cn. Some clones are reported not to work 'properly' and will not upgradae, while some do upgrade okay. In related news, they also shown off a new version of their bootable config disc which will feature a disc dumper that can be used with a sdcard adaptor. You can buy the REAL WiiKey from Divineo.cn / Modchipstore.com / Divineo.de / Italy and Spain.

Many clones do not work properly and do not surpass the same quality checks as the original wiikey. Some clones already fail when booting the upgrade discs. It is very doubtful that they will work with original wiikey future upgrades - in fact the wiikey team will put all efforts into making the disc upgrades incompatible with any kind of clones. There are also clones that get defect after a few days of operating time. The improvement of the config disc and the development of software upgrades is only guaranteed when using an original wiikey. Our RMA policy is not valid for clones. If you are not sure if you bought a clone or not just contact us - we will help you to identify it.

whats funny is that if you go to the clone site wiikey.com.cn and click on the news button, it even has their news posted word for word, even the part about the clone survey. Here is an excerpt from the site:

Don't support the clones, they will not work properly with our upgrades and configuration discs.

Also, if you try to click on the resellers button, it doesn't work. I guess these people don't want to sell any of their clones, LOL

Well if PS2 clone chips have taught us anything, than avoid the Wiikey-clones at all costs. Chances are they are of lower quality and just enticing to people that don't properly research a mod purchase.
