WiiWare

Now this is an intersting article:

WiiWare will allow anyone to create their own Wii games

I returned my Wii. I got a chipped PS2, because games are still being developed and the graphics are the same and in some cases better than the Wii - and the Wii-mote didn't really grab me as a "must have." Probably because the system is new, blah blah blah....but.....I can see myself eventually getting one again in the future. I'd like to see where this goes. It just seems like a really great idea. Nintendo is really making the Wii more attractive. I've also read that they've surpassed Sony and are now one of the 10 most valuable comapnies in Japan. They're doing something right. It just seems like it would be a nice little toy to play with as more develops with it.

My biggest prob with the Wii is the lack of power. It might be a fun system, and great for families, but it's not really a next-gen system. When the Xbox 1 has more processing power, it's more like a last-gen system.

That would be the only thing preventing me from getting a Wii. But I would weigh the pro's and cons in about a year. But with all the new toys they are introducing and new technology, you can't help but notice that they are setting themselves up for something big. When it's their turn for a next gen system, there's really going to be no experimenting. They are going to know all of the mistakes MS and Sony made. The BR/HD war will be over. They are going to know which of their gadgets are big hits with the consumer, and they are going to present us with a great next gen system. That's what I see happening.
