Question internet problem

i had a problem with my internet lately whenever the house phone rings
the dsl disconnects and then reconnects it gets pretty annoying since the phone rings alot does anybody know what the problem is and how to fix it

That was the only thing I could think of as well, never heard of this with DSL. If I had to guess, I'd say it's likely an issue with your router/DSL modem, but that is just a total shot in the dark. Best thing do to would be to check the manufacturer's website and see if anyone else has similar problems, or check the forums, etc.

Make sure that you have all DSL filters plugged in to everything, phones, fax machine alarm system, or anything that uses the phone line!

no i dont have dialup

From the sounds of it, there is something unstable on your phone line. The DSL filter is for the phone to filter out the scramble DSL signal, so you wont hear static, and key tones. Considering that it disconnect when the phone ring, you may want to contact your ISP or Phone company to have your line checked.
