depends....are you gunna be running windows and windows only? If so I think Ati would do ya better. If you plan on running a windows/Linux machine I'd go Nvidia,just because the openGL drivers are better supported out of the box.
Personal note,I like both card makers really....Ati makes awesome cards,I just have a hate for their drivers. On the other hand,I like Nvidias drivers...but their cards can sometimes lack in certain areas. (mainly noisey fans) Just personal prefernce really.
Also another thing,if you have a motherboard that runs duel video cards...check to see what it runs. Crossfire or Sli...cause if it does,you might wanna stay with the card that goes with the right motherboard support. In case you decide to go the route of duel cards.
