After a few months, I have been benchmarking various of Intel CPUs. From some low end to some very high end. All this was at the cost of my own expense and for research purpose, besides who doesn't want to play with the newest toys.

Here are the CPU I tested.
E6400 Core 2 Duo
E6600 Core 2 Duo
E6750 Core 2 Duo
E6850 Core 2 Duo
Q6600 Quad
QX6600 Quad Extreme
QX6850 Quad Extreme

The computer spec used to test all of them is a custom built computer based on the Nvidia 650 chipset.

Asus P5N-E Sli - Motherboard
XFX 8800 GTX Ultra - 768mb
500GB Seagate sata
2GB Corsairs
Running Windows XP Pro

All of the processors are great, but each have their own flaws combined with the motherboard. For example, when I did the testing and overclocking for the Core2Duo on the board, it wont go beyond 10% overclocking. But the Quads and Quad Xtreme went well over the 30% mark. After I was able to overclock and check the benchmark plus the temp. It was clear that the Core 2 Duo are better, than the Quad in the long run. Why? Well, the Quad overheats more when overclocked, if not, they are at least 5-10 degress up over the Core 2 Duo.

Sorry, I losted the 3dr files for the Core 2 Duos I will re-benchmark them when I can.

But you get what you pay for, I personally like the QX6850, but the $1300 price tag isn't friendly.
