Ohkk, I know I have a thread in 2000/XP forum but this area is more suitable.
My CPU allows me to set "Original +5% +7.5% +10%" Now I wish to push about 2.0-2.2GHz out of it. Last time I OC'd it to about 1.93 and it started to randomly shutdown during use of the computer. So I assume I need to OverVolt it a little. What speeds should be fine with a +5% increase? At the moment my CPU is 1.4v with a minimum 200MHz FSB and maximum of 455MHz. AMD Sempron 3000+ (Venice/Palermo core) Any help would be greatfully appreciated.

with a semperon? sorry to tell you this but you are WAY out of date, if you want to over clock, and are planing to get a new computer in the VERY near future i would go al out
give it as much as it takes and youll know how much your next one will be able to take. i would suggust getting a Athlon X2 4200 and ocing it to 2.5 instead of 2.2 and they are only like 50 bucks off newegg. |
