OverClocking

Ohkk, I know I have a thread in 2000/XP forum but this area is more suitable.
My CPU allows me to set
"Original
+5%
+7.5%
+10%"

Now I wish to push about 2.0-2.2GHz out of it.
Last time I OC'd it to about 1.93 and it started to randomly shutdown during use of the computer. So I assume I need to OverVolt it a little.
What speeds should be fine with a +5% increase?
At the moment my CPU is 1.4v with a minimum 200MHz FSB and maximum of 455MHz.
AMD Sempron 3000+ (Venice/Palermo core)

Any help would be greatfully appreciated.

You can try setting your RAM timings manually, overvolting the CPU, setting the RAM voltage, and overvolting the North Bridge. Honestly, with that setup, I don't know how much of an OC you will really get.

with a semperon? sorry to tell you this but you are WAY out of date, if you want to over clock, and are planing to get a new computer in the VERY near future i would go al out

give it as much as it takes and youll know how much your next one will be able to take. i would suggust getting a Athlon X2 4200 and ocing it to 2.5 instead of 2.2 and they are only like 50 bucks off newegg.
