how do i make an ide to usb adapter?

i want to connect my hard drive with an ide to usb adapter cable but mine is in a different country right now with my dad. and i have no idea where to get one. does anyone know how i can make a bootleg one that will work?

You might be able to strip the wires, cut the connections from a USB and IDE connector, and solder them together to make one, I'm not sure. IDE-USB adapters are under $20, it's probably less trouble to buy one. This has a five star rating on newegg:
