I extracted my Winning Eleven 10 DVD with Apache3 and I want to apply a translation that i downloaded.
In the Guide of the translation, says that now i have only to replace the extracted files with the downloaded ones. But in the translation pack, that file named XXXX_###.## have diferent name from the original WE10 DVD. Original DVD = SLPM_663.74 Translation Pack = SLPM_665.95 In the translation guide doesnt say anything about it, im afraid to burn it wrong. So which one of the two files I use? Or booth of them ? PS: I will burn with Nero UDF ISO... |

Yes, i think i will have to replace it too. But im not SURE of it. And i have only one blank DVD here. xD
The Guide is here RapidShare: 1-Click Webhosting but its in Portuguese... I dont know if you will understand =/ Now i have a better look at the picture in the guide and in his folder there is only the SLPM_665.95 (translation pack one). |

Yeah I don't know Portugese, but I imagine you just replace the original file with the translation pack and burn a UDF/ISO DVD with Nero. Should be as simple as that, rebuilding games with Apache 3 and Nero is the easiest way do to it imo.

It's possible you did it wrong, or it's possible the translation file doesn't work. Patching PS2 games with translation patches is always touch and go, there are few I know of, no idea if they work or not. Make sure your firmware is up to date and you're using quality media. I wouldn't waste a ton of discs on it, best bet is to find Pro Evo 10 in your language, if it's available.

Can PS2 read DVD-RW ?
I read something about bitsetting or something else that makes DVD-RWs readable in PS2. So I can test the ISOs I rebuild without wasting medias. |

Bitsetting refers to burning a DVD+R, DVD+R DL, DVD+RW to be read as a DVD-ROM by different DVD drives. DVD-ROM is the most universal DVD format, generally only older players will have problems reading them, same goes for PS2. It's only necessary with +R's, DVD-R's can't be booktyped. It's not necessary that a +R be booktyped to DVD-ROM, it just helps compatibility, especially with older drives.
As far as using +/-RW's, I personally am very much against it. Long term use of +/- RW's can shred the PS2 laser, it just has to strain too much to read the disc surface. Even for a one time thing, I'd be leary of using a +/-RW. Have you had problems with any other backups? Is the only game that won't boot?

I only have problems when i try to backup a game from DVD to DVD.
When I get a ISO on internet and burn, it works perfectly. |

Hmm maybe it's something with your burner ripping games. Have you tried any other apps outside of DVD Decrypter for 1:1 (original disc to backup) backups? Nero and Alcohol 120% also work fine for 1:1 backups, there's guides for both here:
