Fix problems

I followed the guide to fix problems with decrypter from paddymail. I put the dll file in my system 32 folder. Just like another member when I try to change the ASPI on Decrypter it says no devices detected. It also says invalid ASPI instalation detected. I put it back to SPTI-microsoft and it detects my NEC ND 3500AG. But I can't rip MLB 06 the show. It gets to 52% and stops every time. I also have a problem with NEC firmware flash utility. I downloaded the latest 2.58 update for my NEC ND-3500AG and when I click on the flash it says target NEC-3500A is not found corectly. I went to the dangerous brothers link and downloaded a zip 2.58 with more files. I extracted them into a folder and when I click to run it a DOS window appears and then goes away. The one from the d b's looks like a DOS window not the burner with the yellow lightning bolt. The 1st 2.58 does have the lightning bolt but its not in a rar file. Can some one help please?

It's a bit early to flash your drive with hacked firmware. Be careful with that, a failed flash can fry your drive. Is your copy of MLB 2006 an original? Can you post a screecap of the error you get in DVD Decrypter?

Thanks for the reply Lord. It has read errors and won't go any father than 52% with MLB 06. Its the original from a rental place. I did Arena football,Ghost rider and MLB 2k6 with no problems and haven't had any problems with others. I guess I have been lucky. I have been trying everything that's why I tried the flash. It did not mess up the drive I'm using now and it worked. I verifyed that the wnaspi32.dll is in the system 32 folder. When I change it in Decrypter to that .dll it doesn't reconize my nec 3500. I checked my hardware and it allows dll files. I am not sure whats wrong but every program I have to rip with gets stuck at 52% Nero, AK 120% and says read errors. I have HDD loader harddrive for 1 of my PS2's so I use that for most of the games. I have been doing this a while maybe I am brain dead. I have been reading and trying everything for 2 days now. Any help would be appreciated. The disk looks brand new with no scrathes at all.

Hmm, I've never encountered this before. :P

Nah, most likely they use a buffer on the disc and buffed the disc surface off in the process. Things like the Game Doctor and such will do that. If the scratch is too deep for a light buffing to take care of, chances are it's beyond repair. It's a dead giveaway that's what happened when a disc looks new and it has read errors. DVD writers have pretty good lasers, the damage has to be fairly substantial to be unable to get usable disc image. See if you can see almost like a swirling pattern on the disc, put it right under a light for best results. If you're really desperate to get a rip, you can try setting it to rip with Alcohol 120% overnight. I used to do that early in my mod days, but don't bother anymore. There's always potential for damaging your burner in the process. If all else fails, complain and get your money back. Say it wouldn't work in your PS2, always works at my BlockBuster.

Way to go Lord S you nailed it. I should of known better in stead of wasting 3 days on it. It looks just like it has been polished its Hollywood next to Game crazy and I know they polish them. When I did Ak 120% it made it to 89.9% after 2 1/2 hours and then stopped. So I shut it down. Thank you very much for your help. I am very good about getting my money back I demand it. Bye the way what a great site. I came across it when I read the guide from paddygirl at afterdawn.

Lol, that's Paddymail and he's a mod here.

No prob, you will get that prob at some rental chains, best to not bother and get your money back, unless it's a really hard to find game or something.

Thumbs up

Thanks Paddymail. Man you guys have a great site and I hope I can help people along the way. I updated my profile you can check it out. It might be a little funny but true. My signature is from the movie D.A.R.Y.L. and the pic is Jessica Simpson when she started modeling. Man she is was hotter then than she is now. She did something to her lips, nose and eyes. Can you believe some one that beautiful would think she needed plastic surgery? It just goes to show you no one is ever satisfied with there looks. Thanks again for haveing me.
