Hey guys i have a problem. my V7 fan **** the bed and i know it was/is the fuse but im not sure which fuse is the fans fuse and i have no idea how to use a multimeter. I know that its the ps5 fuse but i don't know where to or how to put a new one on. can someone guide me on how to do it and give me the pictures of the V7 mobo.

There is an alternate to hook up the fan. I dont know where the fuse is at, but my PS2 V7 Fan cuircit died also, I rewired it to use the USB plug. Its pretty simple.
Cut a spare USB cable, find the Red and Black wire, link it to the Fan wire, and plug it in the PS2 USB port, and the fan should work as before.

it still doesn't work. but my USB has 4 wires red,green,white,and black. my fan has a black and grey wire. Which wires did you have hooked up to what colors?

The USB port should work, if the PS2 turns on, the USB will work.
Hook up Black with Black and Red with White.

does it matter is the green and white wires from the USB are not connected?
and my fan is connected black to black and red to grey

You can switch them. Basically here is the USB layout.

i just ordered another fan cuz i think that was the problem if it wasn't working at all when i use the USB. and if it still dont work i hope i can do something.
ohh and one more question would it matter if it was USB or USB 2.0

right now im switching the grey and black wires to see if someone made a mistake. if that dont work the for sure it is the fan. you guys wouldn't happen to have a spare v7 fan around would you?
