anything to do with the PsP would be Stangs department....when he gets on you'll have alot of info I bet. There's also a large PsP user base on this site...so you'll probably get more than enough info in the next day or two I bet.

ps2 stuff would be best answered by LS and stang I think...they seem to know alot about anything to do with the ps2 and PsP. Good thing is that they're staff so they'll be on everyday and usually pretty regular hours too....so it's just a matter of time till you get all the answers you need.

agree, if you have a fat PS2 with a network adapter then get an internal hard drive and use HD Advance or get a decent mod chip like DMS4 Pro SE that can run it.

The only, and I mean only reason to use USB Extreme, is to play PSX isos off a USB HD. There's no way to play PSX games off a HD with HD Advance/HDLoader or a modchip. It's not worth it. If you can find a copy and want to try it out on a modchipped PS2 and happen to have a USB HD you have laying around, it might be worth a CD-R. That's only if you have PSX (PSone) games that you want to play on your PS2 off a USB HD. It's definitely not worth any money.

Hmm.....that's a good idea LS. I think I will try it. I want to play my PSX games on my PS2 and I do happen to have an extra SATA HDD in a USB enclosure right now. That sounds like fun!

Dunno if it's compatible with SATA though, I know the PS2 itself isn't.

Wow i totally missed this thread! What firmware is your psp? The UP chip is pretty much out of date; anything 3.03 and below can be downgraded manually. Also there is a new chip being released with a more robust feature list, which will make the UP chip pretty much obsolete. For 90% of the psp population a mod chip is pretty much a waste of cash. If you are one of the unfortunate peeps with a 3.10-3.30 firmware then a chip may be worth a look into, but including install you are looking at $100+.

Sorry for the late reply :/
