Please help me out

I have a problem with loading the backup to play in my ps2. I am using 4.28GB USA Midnight Club 3 - DUB Edition to try and boot 2.79GB USA SSX 3. Everything works till I get to the last screen and insert my backup. At this point it says down in the left corner: Invalid disk. I am using a Memorex dvd-r, so it might be the way I am doing this or the media just thought I would ask on here what I am doing wrong.
I use this method to try and boot my backup http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/320910

This is the method I use to copy my backup

Alot of users here use the black theme, and the black font you used really didn't show up....I just took out the black color for now...if you want to use another color other than white or black, try to find one that is kinda in the middle.

As for ps2 info...we have a good group of people here that will prolly be answering your post as soon as they get on.

If you are talking about Hex colors then White is FFFFFF HERE is a Hex Color Code website that I use allot for making skins.

As to your question Blakd You are using Memorex DVD-R which most will say are very poor quality media. It could be a simple problem with the PS2 not being compatible with Memorex media.

Can you boot other games on your PS2 with the Memorex media?

You could also try playing a DVD backup movie using that media to see if it is the media. You do not have to have a bootable method to play a DVD backup. So if the DVD backup does not play then more then likely it is a media issue.

The most recommended media that is used are Verbatim and Taiyo Yuden.

I have never used that boot method so maybe someone else that uses that method can help make sure you are doing the steps correctly.

That is not true, I have made close to 200 backups using -R Taiyo Yudens, never have had a single problem. Different ps2 versions respond differently to media, so it is best to test both -R and +R. If you use +R, I suggest bit setting to DVD-ROM if your burner supports it.
