It should work, but slim chance. I clean the lens manually with a Q-tip and rubbing alcohol or vodka.

Like Kam implied, those things have as much potential to scratch the lens as clean it, best solution is always to open it up and clean manually with a Q-tip and rubbing alcohol. Here's a guide:
