Slim PS2 with HDD and modbo 3.0

Sorry if my english is bad I'm new at this.
I have PS2 SCPH 77006 and SCPH 77000 and, if I'm not mistaken, they are v15. I heard that Sony has removed HDD compability from V14. Is it really impossible to attach HDD on those two type?
I read about flashing modchip like modbo 3.0? Is it like installing program to modchip? Can we update or replace those program with others on modbo 3.0 after we flash it for the first time?
Can I "install" HDLoader to modbo 3.0 so you can directly launch it when I boot my PS2 without DVD or CD or MC Exploit? I look at PS2HD section at
www.sksapps.com and I find so many "program". Which one I should download? Can you tell me how to "install" it on Modbo 3.0? I want my to play PS2 DVD-9 games (incl God Of War 2) and PSX games from larger than 120 GB HDD?
Thank you so much.

Yes, it's true there is no way to use a IDE HD with v14 PS2's and later, the solder points have been removed for HDCombo/Connect.

If you are going to get a modchip, then get a Matrix Infinity, DMS 4 Pro SE, or Crystal Chip 2.0, all are infinitely better than the Modbo. The Modbo is just a Matrix Infinity clone. If you really want to play games off a HD, you might want to pick up a "fat" second hand PS2 and get it modchipped. On v1-11's, the HD connects to the expansion bay in the PS2, on v12 and 13's, a IDE connector has to be soldered to the motherboard. You could get a v12 or 13 PS2 as well, but HDCombo is just added costs, plus the fat PS2's are much more durable.

The difference Modbo 3.0 and the big 3

Thanks for the info LS.
I want to get one of the big 3 but it's hard for me to find them in my country. They only have Modbo 3.0. Can you tell me the feature of the big 3 that Modbo 3.0 didn't have?
Can you tell me which file I should get from SKSApps for the best HDLoader and how to put it in the modchip?

The DMS 4 Pro SE is probably the most user friendly when it comes down to playing games off the HD. Of the clone chips, the modbo is okay, but don't misunderstand me. The clone chips blow. There is always the potential that changing any of the settings in the firmware menu will blow it up, the firmware is not upgradeable. It's like saying that someone is the best out of a group of serial murderers. The DMS 4 Pro SE, Crystal Chip 1.1/2.0 and Matrix Infinity have fully upgradeable firmware and all the features you could want, are proven to be reliable, clone chips quite the opposite. The Ghost 2 is another good chip to look for, sometimes it's more widely available overseas than "the big three."
