last time i knew that game was too big for a regular DVD. Not sure if you are able to shrink it by rebuilding it or not. It has been a while since i did any PS2 burning.

If you're looking at it in Windows explorer and it says 3.79GB's, it's only reading the first layer. If you have a modchip that supports DVD-9 (Dual Layer) backups a straight rip and burn with DVD Decrypter will work. If not, then you will need to resize the game to DVD-5 (single layer). The Matrix Infinity, DMS 4 Pro SE, Crystal Chip 2.0, and Ghost 2 support Dual Layer backups for PS2.

It depends. Resizing PS2 games from DVD-9 to DVD-5 is different for each one. It involves taking out movie files, dummy files, extra stuff, downsampling the movie files, etc. There is no universal guide for it. Sites like Afterdawn may have guides for it. Look around and see. There are DVD-5 versions which have already been rebuilt floating around.
