solderless ps2 mod chip

was wondering if any one here has one in there ps2 slim.and also would like to know a good place to get one

or even a link to one that has to be soldered

i looked around there are so many and different prices

i mainly play dvd backup ps2 games


swap magic is getting to be a pain

thx for any help on this :flex:

All modchip provider in the US are no more, due to the recent activities. The only chance is to order from the outside source, on top of that, I doubt US custom will allow any imports of those items.

Its not impossible to get the chip, just harder. I know how bad swap magic can be, but as of now. You have to try and order it from an outside source such as divineo.

i am pretty good with soldiering things.it says 21 wire solution.
and that chip seems cheap at $20.wil there be a diagram to show what to connect too.
also does it have wires

and in a slim ps2 there doesnt seems to be much room inside

There should be about 15-17 solder point, if I remember correctly. Diagram can be founded on the Duo website. As for the room, your gonna have to find a location on the motherboard to place it.

I wouldn't recommend getting a solderless chip. We have a PS2 Modchip FAQ in the PS2 section.

As far as where to get the chip, that's really up to you, just try to find a site with some good feedback via word of mouth. If you are going to solder it yourself, be careful, and use good soldering precautions. Also, don't get a Duo3, get a more feature packed chip. Read on...
