Which DVD burner is preferred for burning ps2 games? Or what type of DVD BURNER?

generally, almost any brand of DVD burner is OK... I prefer either NEC or LITEON personally though. The thing you MUST remember is the DVD MEDIA has to be good quality, take a look through some of the guides and that'll point you in the right direction for which media is good.

BenQ's or Liteon's are good quality and can be found on newegg.com starting at around $30. DVD Media quality is much more important. Ritek, Verbatim, or Taiyo Yuden DVD's are the best ones to use for PS2 games.

I would have to say my BenQ burner is the favorite of any i have owned. I had a Sony (aka Liteon) burner but it stopped working after 2 years, and i have a Liteon DVD player that also stopped after about the same time. May have just been bad luck but i no longer trust those.

If you decide on BenQ make sure you get one that uses the Q-Suite 2.0 software as it has many good features.
