formatting USB drive

does anyone know how to format a usb drive from NTFS to a FAT 16 without deleting anything on the drive because a PC game is on the drive and i need to use it to download some map packs from my PS2

Its not possible to change a format to another without reformatting. What you can do is move the stuff of the USB to the Desktop, reformat it to FAT16 then move it back on.

But what I dont get is, that all USB stick should be FAT32 already. Only external HDD should be NTFS

srry my bad the usb was FAT when i put it in ma computer but before it showed NTFS for some reason but thanks for the quick answer i will try and change it to FAT 16
