How to cover tracks or clear them?

People here I work with have gotten stripes taken for going to porn sites or the likes by getting to them through proxy.com or somthing like that. Is there a way to erase all the sites I go to and pics to keep anyone from knowing where I have been? I dont go to porn sites but would like to go to other sites that are blocked but dont wanna get in trouble for it.

There's a couple things that'll do this. CC Cleaner is free and will erase alot of your tracks. You can download it here:

I personally use the System Cleaner that comes with System Mechanic 6, it cleans out everything pretty much.

If you really want to be safe use this

http://www.soft32.com/download_959.html

You can delete stuff using 35 passes! To compare, CC Cleaner is 7 passes. Either one will get the job done though.

CC keeps poping up itunes for some ungodly reason when ever I try to open it, Even after saving it after I click on it it brings up itunes.

Soft 32 website is blocked so I cant even get to it.

Is there any options I can go to under tools or internet options to make sure I dont pick up anything else? Or a few good steps to try to manually erase crap I might have picked up that can get me in trouble?

I take it you're military, if so what branch? I'm not too sure about the Army, Marines, Navy, or guard and reserve units but I'm in the Air Force and all AF computers across the world should operate on proxies, in addition to some filter software which would keep someone from viewing those sites, but of course...specific IP info is being tracked. That I know as being a CSA. Just like you said, soft32 is blocked...I know that Air Force computers can't get to download related sites. They get so anal about it. If there was a thread on tis site that had eBay in the title, even though you can view this site...you couldn't view that thread due to that name being in there.

If you have looked at things you're not supposed to...manual deletion in addition to CCleaner are good ways to go like they said above. But thinking of it, you my not be able to install anything on your computer if you're not a system Admin or at least a local Admin on that system. One way around that for some applications is to install it to your "My Documents" folder.

I know that's a lot of talk above but I hope it sheds some light on your info. Another thing, not to scare you, but the way most military systems are setup, they don't need to see your local PC for evidence tracking to know what you've done. Odds are, if you've been detected, they've logged into that system remotely, copied the files, and done what they needed.

Familiar with SMS updates that always come down? That's the application that allows them to login to your computer(s) from the Comm Help Desk. Your best defense is to don't try to use the systems for anything other than what they allow. That includes following the rules with emails and attachments.

Yea im in the AF. They had a proxy server you could go through to get to blocked sites and some kid that was here the rotation before me got a stripe taken for looking at porn lol. I dont look at porn but I would like to make sure the computer is clean as the AF is stupid and will even screw you for fully covered pics you may get in yoru email or somthing.

You know that super fat chick laying in bed in a bikini? Shes like 400#s+. Someone got a LOR or Artical 15 for having that on their computer even though she is fully clothed. Hard to tell what stupid crap the AF will ream you for so I just would like to clean up everything to stay out of this perdicament.

Yeah tbone...makes sense. One, they tell you not to do it in your reoccuring training every year. Two, it's a govt. computer...he should no better. Third, at any job, how professional is it to look at porn while on the clock.

So they expect you NOT to look at porn when you surrounded by nothing but males in the military. Thats anohter reason to add to my list of why I would never get in the military.

But I don't know how it is in the military, maybe they have secret strip clubs or something hidden on the base? Don't pay me any mind .
