:-x Ok, ok how did i get an email from extreme source re a thread i had entered on the forum about anti-virus, and the heading was from hotbritneyspirs ? the entire email was porn sites, explicit headings so vivid my grandkids would have freaked and presumed i was downloading or looking for sites ? i dont download porn and the thread was only about anti virus ! why didnt someone check and prevent this from coming from extreme source ? :-x come on folks dont allow this to happen again, " please "

A. The site is xtreme-source, not extreme-source.
B. Do you have some proof this happened, like a screencap or anything? If you're gonna make a claim like this, you better have some proof.

@paulga - PM me with the info if you can,and if it matches a person on here he/she will be dealt with. With 10,000+ user accounts,there will be things that do get by...but we try to stay on top of things as best we can.
EDIT: I checked the logs and that user has been banned as of Aug 1st 2007.

The best thing I can say is if anyone doesn't want to chance anything like this,to remove any messenger addresses from their profile. Without making the forums private,we can't really do too much about letting people in. What we can do,is limit their knowledge of each user.
Removing your msn or yahoo nicknames from your profile is about the best thing you can do. Also never post an email address in the forums...you'll just be asking for trouble. I see that you didn't post your messenger addresses in your profile...either that or you removed them after the fact. Good idea.
