i have a fat PSP and want to run Nintendo Rom's off it as well as normal PSP games but i donno if you can and what firmware to use can any one give me a hand

You can use any modified firmware. But using the latest 3.72, you have to copy the flash1 from the 3.71 to enable 1.5 addons. Best bet is to use 3.71-2 .

homebrew for all those firmwares is the same, all use 1.5 kernel. As kam said, 3.72, but there is no true cfw for it. There is a 3.72hx or something, but does not have a true 3.72 kernel despite its name. Best bet is 3.71 m33-3 with 1.50 kernel patch (#2).

1.Downgrade to 1.5 (Having an oe cfw is fine)

2.Upgrade to 3.52 m33, found here http://exophase.com/psp/download/3.52M33.zip

3.Upgrade to 3.52 m33-4, found here http://exophase.com/files/psp/M33-1234.zip

4.Upgrade to 3.71 m33, found here http://exophase.com/psp/download/release.rar

5.Upgrade to 3.71 m33-3, found here http://exophase.com/files/psp/371m33-3.zip

6.Install the 1.5 addon, found here http://exophase.com/files/psp/150kernel_addon2.rar

The readme's are pretty self explanatory....read the instructions! Have any issues just post em here.
