Yes it is the same, but... Playing games on 1.5 is pointless, its sole purpose is to downgrade, then upgrade with the newest/latest hacked firmware. Each hacked firmware have their little tutorial; we removed our tutorial due to some conflict.

You will need to create a pandora battery/despertar cementario to downgrade any new psp, slim included. You cannot do this on you own. You must have access to somebody elses psp that already has cfw or 1.5 ofw. After that you need a magic mem stick....you can do this on your own but that entales searching for copyrighted Sony files, you are on your own there.

You can purchase the Datel utliity battery to take the place of pandora, that will cost you around $30. All that is left is making the mem stick...which can be done using another homebrew enabled psp or searching the net....as I said before we cannot assist with that.

All firmware is modable, anything you purchase will require the method I described though.

so i purchased a pandora battery. I installed the firmware update on a fat psp. Then i tried in on a slim psp, it installs but when i try to move the d-pad it seems to be stuck or something it doesnt move. I know its not frozen because i can can see the background move around and the time changes. Any idea on what it could be. ive already tried it once...
