As some of you know i have the DMS4 EZI SE Lite for my PS2. This chip supports the useage of the Action Repaly Max and the Gameshark. I have been trying to get them to work the AR Max and Gshark load fine but when it gets to the black screen to load the game after you selected the cheats it says insert a PS2 game. do you know how i make it work. I read somewhere you have to change the disk swapping in the toxic menu but i don't see anything like that on the menu. CAN SOME ONE HELP ME

It could be a feature regarding multi-disc games or something. By default I don't know if the DMS 4 EZI Lite supports multi-disc stuff, I imagine it does. For the Matrix Infinity, you have to enable multi-disc PSX support, it automatically supports multi-disc PS2 games. Check out ToxicBios manual and dms3.com.
Toxic Bios Readme http://www.teamtoxic.com.cn/download...BiosReadme.txt Toxic OS Manual: http://www.teamtoxic.com.cn/download...cos-manual.pdf ToxicOS is for the DMS 4 Pro SE, but it may make some mention of cheat devices regarding bios, aside from that check here: Also if you notice on that page for features of ToxicBIOS, it mentions support for codebreaker, not Gameshark or ARMAX. Try Codebreaker and see if that works. Aside from that try the dms 3 forums: http://web02063.prolocation.net/phpBB2/index.php

I know for a fact that the chip allows the use of the two cheat devices because i have seen them work on my friends PS2 same version. but i don't think he was using toxic or something of that sort. What are some of the other 3rd party bios updates? (stupid toxic should have put these on a priority list seeing as how its a huge feature of the chip)

well, this is how i do it with AR Max and my DMS4 Pro
1. put in AR Max and go to expert mode 2. pick the game i want and enable the cheats i want 3. press start and it ask to load game with or without cheat, so choose load with cheats. 4. now it will ask for a disc and you stick in your back up and it will load with cheats. It is a shame that the Lite does not have the built in cheat device like the pro. This is why i never tell people to get the lite version, all of the great features for the chip are built into the ToxicOS for the pro version.

i went to the Team Toxic webpage and read the features of ToxicBIOS
and the only thing it mentions is support for Codebreaker It may only be the ToxicOS that supports them all. I know 100% that ToxicOS supports AR Max. PLus with the built in cheat device you can convert codes from all 3 cheat systems to raw format and put them right into ToxicOS and not even need to use the disc. My suggestion is to get codebreaker. Like LS said, the Firmware (ToxicBIOS or OS) is what gives the chip all of it's features. Without that it can really not do much at all.

OMG!!! listen to what im saying....the CHIP not the BIOS allows for the use of AR max and GS but i think that the toxic software is hindering the usage of the two cheat devices....
Stiemy you said your backup games DO work with yours. do you have the toxic os or bios? |

He has ToxicOS, as he has a DMS 4 Pro. Frankly, you're not following any of our suggestions. We have offered advice, you have chosen not to act on it. This likely a simple fix covered in the dms forums, take the initiative and do a bit of searching- that's what we do when we have probs.
