Using 1.6, my dl speeds git almost a meg a second, but I have a problem. The dreaded disk overload error. Once th error occurs, my dl speeds wont rise over 175kB/s, any ideas how to fix this. Ive tried all the normal methods, and 1.6 does not have the same advanced options as 1.5, so I am running out of ideas !

I dont think so, and those are the two settings I modified in 1.5 to get around the disk overload error. I dont want to go back to 1.5 for obvious reasons, but this is bugging me. Its lame to complain that i have to limit my downstream to 500kB, put I want to use my bandwith to its full potential. Arggggg, this is frustrating!

I think my speed suck, well that’s because I go through a router(linksys) all thou I’m quite happy with the security the router provides, even with the ports forwarded, I’m still no getting the max or at least close to max speed.

You will never get your advertised speeds, thats not a possibility. I am glad you are happy with your speeds, but also remember not to rely on your router as a means of security.
