Well joel, your comments with profanity in the shoutbox, double posting in the forums, and nonsense, off topic posts in threads got you banned.

Welcome to the site sonorc.

As for this tutorial, it doesn't cover adding subtitles nor do I think it supports it. The GOOD NEWS is that one of our Moderators has created one that should help you out.

See it HERE

Yep, probably the easiest way is to look for already existing subtitles for the film you have ripped from DVD to AVI format... then there are several options, if you just want to watch it on your computer, name the subtitle file you found the same as the AVI's name except for the extension of course, then you should be able to watch it on your PC and subtitles show too.. if it doesn't show you can get a program called FFD show... google for it for now and I'll try and find a link for it too.
Other option would be to hard encode the subtitles to the AVI file, so then it will show whatever you play it back on as it will be part of the film... that's what my tutorial covers.
Hope that was some help and I explained it correctly???

There's also a way to hard encode subtitles at the same time as creating the AVI file from DVD.. am gonna write a tutorial on it in the next few days, very simple to do
