I tried everyway possible, ImageReady dont use codec to decode the movies, thats my it has to be mpeg, or uncompress avi. You can try DV encoder, for me it just create a video with a loss of colors. Maybe it was something I config wrong. I will try agian.

It may be easier to compose an alternate tutorial for this that doesn't use PS. I don't have time now, but maybe in the future.

ImageReady will work with DV encoder. I downloaded the K-lite Mega pack, and all it comes with are Divx encoders and the DV encoders. The quality was decent, here's the end result (well aside from my current sig):

You can also pull vob files off copy protected DVD's. I use a combo of WinAvi/DVD Region+CSS Free to do this. My Goku gif is off a store bought DVD. You can use any combination of software that'll to do this, as long as it circumvents copy protection and allows you to convert vob files right off disc. AnyDVD most likely would work as well. I like WinAvi because it pulls the vob files directly off disc, and is an extremely fast encoder.

PS Kam do you know how to add animated text to individual frames in ImageReady? I've read a couple tuts for it, but it's a little difficult since I'm so new with it.

Very nice Booboo, excellent first try. Once you get a little more familiar with ImageReady, you can work on making longer clips and compressing them. I've had issues with PhotoBucket auto resizing my images even when I don't select it, try imageshack, worked for me.

Figured out that you can create the "background" with Photoshop and then using your guide, created a clip and inserted it on top of the sig with Ulead Gif Animator.

End result...my new sig. Not the best, but works for me!!

You can see that the screen moves...that's because I had to manually move each screen!!

I woudn't even have noticed that if you didn't point it out. Honestly, it just looks like the camera is shaking in the game. U-Lead gif animator is a good app. I still can't figure out animated text with ImageReady, I don't think they want you to lol. I use Easy gif animator to add animated text, a couple clicks and you're done. Nice sig Jamaal, gifs are very addicting.

I use photoshop cs2 to do my text and stuff in using the animation pallet. Very rarely do I use image ready. But that is exactly the opposite that our web development department does when they create images for their customers. They use image ready primarily.

It's just easier for me that way I suppose. But Great job on the tutorial Kam!!
