How to Create a CD2MEM

What is CD2MEM?
*Its a way to transfer PS2 game save from the internet to your playstation without Action Replay, Gameshark, X-port or anything 3rd party software.

What will you need?
*CD2MEM (File Attached)
*Nero
*Game Save Creator (File Attached)
*Dummy File Creator (File Attached)

First make sure you have all the items (Nero, CD2MEM and Dummy File Creator), you can get nero from Nero Main site, it is a trial and thats all you need.

Now, extract CD2MEM.zip and make sure its extracted on your desktop. There should be a folder named CD2MEM, with 2 items in it.

Now, extract Ps2_Save_Builder_0.8x.zip and there should also be 2 files, open ps2save-builder.exe, and select the Gamesave, it can be any gamesave, Action Replay (MAX), Gameshark (SPS), X-Port (XPS), ect.

Once it opens the game save you should see contents like this.

Now go to File > Save As and select NPO, AND LEAVE THE NAME AS IS

Once its saved on your desktop, move the NPO you created to the CD2MEM folder.

Once you done that, your basically all set. Now you have to burn it. But before you do, you have to create a dummy file, so the PS2 can pick it up faster.

Open the dummyfile.zip and run dummyfile.exe, Select CD2MEM, as the location to create the dummy file. Enter 200 into the input field and click Build, it should take a few seconds. Once its done, it will pop up a notice, click ok and Exit.

Now you should have this.
Now open Nero Burning ROM, NOT NERO EXPRESS.

Select DVD or CD, you can use either one, it works for both. And from the list select DVD-ROM (UDF/ISO) or CD-ROM (UDF/ISO). Select No-Multisession ( PS2 will only read the first session ) and click New.

Add all the files within the CD2MEM Folder.

Now click the Button with the CD and Match to Burn.

It will take a few seconds or mins, depending on what X you select to burn at. I select max and it still works flawlessly!

Enter it into your PS2, and it will load up a Menu.

Press R1 to change directory from Memory Card to CD Drive.

Now move down to CDFS, and press X, it takes about a few seconds to change.
Once it does, it will look like this.

Select the Gamesaves you want to transfer, and press TRIANGLE, it will extract the game saves to your PS2 memory card, do it to each save you want to copy. It will take a few seconds for each game save, and it will show the status at the top.

Thats it your DONE!!

**MULTI-SESSION DOES NOT WORK**

i have a question , does this mean that i have to use a CD for a game save ? Can i add another game save on a same CD or can i put a bunch of game saves in one disc ? By the way , my ps2 didnt load up the menu , it said " Please insert a PS2 format disc..". What do i suppose to do ? i did exactly every single steps above

First of all, you need a modded PS2, or Swap Magic for it to work. You can add as many gamesave as you want. But you can not add anymore once burnt. Best to use CD-RW, if you want to keep reusing it.

Yeah you have to have some means of booting CD-R's, i.e. Swap Magic CD, a modchip, Exploit. Without some form of modification to your PS2, it won't be possible to make use of this tutorial.

Yes, As LS said, you need a method to load the CD. If you have Swap Magic, load Swap Magic first, then swap the CD with the CD you created with the game save, then press X to load, or Press square to do a special boot. The CD2MEM CD will not boot on its own, unless you have a modchip.
