Extracting game files from disc, useful for scratched discs or rebuilds

This guide is to explain how to rip game files from a disc.

This is useful for scratched/scuffed discs when you can't create an ISO, and also for the purposes of rebuilding an ISO image file.

you will need Apache3 program, which you can get
Here or Here - rar pass is "paddy" without the quotes "

After downloading apache3, Unzip it and move the contents to a place of your choice (remember that you are going to be running the program from that location unless you create a desktop shortcut file)

1. Run the Apache 3 program.

If you get this message, click the X button as I have circled below... this freeware version of apache3 cannot be updated, if you try to update it the program will no longer work.

Then we need to configure it so that it doesn't try to check for updates again.. follow the instructions below:-

Go to View then choose preferences

you'll see this window below pop-up.

Then click startup and uncheck the box "check for updated version" and then click OK

You should now not have that message at startup anymore, but will have the one below.

Now we will continue with the tutorial

2. Insert your disc that needs to have the files extracted and select the drive from the dropdown menu.

3. You should now be seeing your game files.

4. Now we need to start the extraction of the files. Press the button indicated in the picture below.

It'll bring up a browse window, select where you would like the files to be stored on your computer. When you have selected the folder where you would like the files to go, hit OK

When the process is done, you should now have a load of files in your destination folder.

Now see tutorial on rebuilding an ISO file with nero burning rom, otherwise known as a "simple" rebuild here, or rebuilding with sony cd/dvd generator and IML2ISO Here

You can't update the freeware version of Apache 3, only the pay version. You don't need to update it anyway, the freeware version works fine.
