How to Never Activate Windows Again!!

If you have to reinstall Windows XP you normally will have to reactivate too.
Well not anymore. Just copy wpa.dbl after you activated the first time. It is located in the WINDOWS\system32 folder. Now if you reinstall Windows XP just copy the file back and you're up and running again.

I love personally love this because there is no more calling (if you ever had to) Microsoft and receiving a phone activation key. -tECh

I just wanted to give this one a slight lil' bump...as many could benefit from it's information and might I add this is 500% legal...assuming of course the copy of Windows you're using is a legit copy.

It's just things I've picked up over time, some from friends, misc web sites, and best of all trial and error. This one was added to the forum a long time ago...I just showed my neighbor how to do it last night and I thought to give it a bump on here.

Look the the Staff Submitted Tutorials section: I've input quite a bit of little guide like this one. Real short and to the point.

never had to activate after a frsh install but this could come in handy. thanks

lol, just saying. Im sure you can rebuild a Window XP cd with wpa.dbl, so when you install, no activation or replacing since its there already. It somewhere in i386, could use some researching, lol.

Anyone know how to activate individual programs such as Microsoft Word without that activation code? I reinstalled XP on my computer and cant find that little peice of paper with the code on it.
