Post Uploading Your Signature @ XTREME-SOURCE

Uploading Your Signature @ XTREME-SOURCE
This guide will show how to properly add your signature to our XS servers.
tEChniiQue, xtreme-source

Those of you that have been here a while know that we've changed our policy on accepting signatures from parked locations outside of XS. For example, images stored on Photobucket or Imageshack will not appear in your signature blocks. Only the URL of whatever image parking site you've used will show. Follow these easy steps and you can upload your signature from your PC directly to our server.

As you may already know, the limit for signatures here is 400x150 pixels and no file size over 100kbs. If an attempt to exceed those parameters is made, the databse will not accept our upload. Here are the steps:

Step 1 > Go to your control panel
One way it can be accessed is via the homepage link above your user info...

Step 2 > Select Edit Signature
It will be located in the top section of the left column...

Step 3 > Browse your computer and select a signature to use

Step 4 > Once the image is found, select Save Signature

Note: URL's will not appear as images but only as URL's in your signature block. Only the method described in this guide will work for your signature to be viewed.

Step 5 (Final) > Insert the correct BBCode and the URL of your image

For the URL of your image, now that it's stored on the xtreme-source server, just right click and go to properties (Internet Explorer) or right click and select copy image location (Firefox). All you need to do is paste that URL in between the BBCode produced by the "Insert Signature Picture link shown above.

That's It!

An example of how your signature should look to show up here correctly, see below:

Now, Get started on some sigs...it's time for you to win our SOTW contest and get your work on our homepage!!

Very nice tech, should alleviate any confusion on the matter.

Thanks LS, I've seen a few sigs displayed as a link so I figured it was needed.
