Thanks for the quiz link tECh. After a few questions it came out with four : Mandriva, OpenSuSE, Ubuntu, Freespire. I download Freespire and liked the look and feel of it, I then when on to download Ubuntu and like that also. When I was looking for info on Ubuntu I came cross Ubuntu Studio 7.04 which is based on Ubuntu but is aimed at the more GNU/Linux audio, video and graphic enthusiast. A full install is about 3 gig you can find more info at http://ubuntustudio.org/ and howtoforge.com have two nice guides on how to install it and how to make it the the perfect desktop :

Cool OpenSUSE 10 is on my list, I might have to try it in a bit, my HD isn't real condusive to trying Linux, all the Linux talk is making me anxious to try it out. Dunno, but my gut is telling me use OpenSUSE, that's what Imma do.

You should like it. It's got a real nice feel to it! Kubuntu is pretty much along the lines as openSUSE (gfx wise), as well.

Slow day at work, so I'm gonna give FreeSpire a test run on my laptop...looks like a nice one to try dual booting with.

What do they mean when they say that a Distro is only supported to a certain date? Like Ubuntu is only supported until 2008. Does this mean that I need to reinstall the newest distro to keep up to date with any new software and updates?
