Go System > Administration > Synaptic Manager click Search and then type: NAIM
I just tried it and two results were found: aide-dynamic naim Check the box to the left of naim, select "Mark for Installation" and then click Apply. Once it's done, you will have NAIM on your system. |

I would love to do that, but I'm not seeing Administration as an option in system, at all. As a matter of fact, I don't see it anywhere. O_O I'm so lost.

OK, so you have a KDE desktop versus Gnome? If so, do this:
K Menu->System->Adept (Package Manager) In case you were wondering, ADEPT lets you install, upgrade and remove software packages...it real easy and similar to Synaptic in other Linux distros. To find a package you are interested in type its name in the Quick Filter search box. If you would rather browser by categories select any of the categories in the Easy Tag Filter. Press the Down arrow by the package name to get more information on it. To set the package for installation click Install Package. To install the package click Commit Changes in the toolbar. In order to stay up to date with the latest security and bug fixes it is important to update the software on your system periodically. You may do this by clicking the Full Upgrade button, then Commit Changes. There is also a dedicated tool Adept Updater for this. Occasionally you may wish to remove software from your computer. This may be done by on the arrow by the software entry and selecting Remove Package then Commit Changes. I hope that helps out. |

It does Tech, and it's appreciated, but Linux just isn't meant to be my default OS, I'm switching back to Tiny Xp, untill I get a better computer, and from there I will do a dual boot. But for now I think I'll stick with what I'm most familiar with. Thanks again though.

No, it's not for everyone. I think you would've had better ease with Ubuntu though. The Gnome desktops seems to work well with beginners than the KDE desktop. I don't know...The first distro I ever used a couple years ago was Fedora. I love it, especially for servers. It's actually the distro I use for my Home network vs. Windows now.
Just don't get discouraged when starting out with Linux. It just takes a little getting used to but every 6 months (every release update) they are becoming more and more friendly with their ease of use. I can say that if I did not prefer to use the most up to date version of Photoshop and need Microsoft Office for things I do for work, at home and vice verse...I'd make a complete switch. Currently, only 1 system in my home has Windows (a dual-booted laptop)...I don't see the number reversing any time soon. I still have it on the laptop cause that just easier to take back n forth to work :P |

Yea, Ubuntu refuses to install on mine for some reason, thats why I got Kubuntu. I might do a dual boot with Fedora and see how I like it.

fedora isn't too bad...basically the old red hat series in the newer forms. They tend to put alot on their disks...so maybe stick with the basics when you install at first because it can get bloated very quickly if you start installing everything.
Also instead of the sudo apt-get update lines in ubuntu...fedora has YUM and you would do the same type of updates but use yum update instead.

There is another version I've yet to try, its called Ultimate Edition. You can read about it here: Ultimate Edition It's torrent location is here: LinuxTracker :: Details for torrent "Ultimate Edition 1.6 DVD" These version are just customized releases by some talented Linux users, which contain some apps, drivers, setting optimizations to enhance Ubuntu. You may want to give one a try. There is a large number of distros available on that site. |

I think it has something to do with my laptop it's self... I had to get a 32 bit distro of Kubuntu just to install it... So, I think thats my problem. Not really sure though.
