Yahoo POP3 ><

hello again, i just got a new yahoo cause my other email just junked up. But thats beside the point. I want to get my yahoo mail with my Touch. I got mail app and am currently using IzyMail wich DOES work, just it only downloads the emails in text format. So not pics or anything. >< Does anyone know of a good free yahoo pop3 service where it lets me download the full email? Someone said to push my emails to a hotmail account? But i tried that and couldnt get it working.

THANKS in advance!

Yahoo mail does not do POP email, unless its a paid service. Like SBC Yahoo, or Yahoo mail premium.

If you mean retreiving your yahoo messages other than visiting yahoo to get them..

Go to yahoo mail, go into options.

Then choose "POP Access & Forwarding"

and select "[POP Settings]"

That will tell you the info you need to enter, such as port number etc to access your mails without having to visit yahoo.com.

I use that for my mails with mozilla thunderbird.. saves a lot of time.

thats what i've hard Kam, but i was wondering if theres another site like IzyMail. Cause IzyMail like gives you a pop3 address you can use to access your yahoo mail with. Something like that but its free and i can download the whole email, not just the text version.

And paddymail, does that mean you have Yahoo Plus? Cause the only thing i see when i go to POP & Forwarding is to upgrade to Plus.... ><

No, I just have the regular FREE yahoo e-mail... there's so many free ones that I don't see the point in paying for an e-mail service

[edit] Are you sure you're clicking the right place... it sounds as if you're clicking the [Mail upgrades] link instead of [options]??

You have to switch it back to "classic" before you can edit your options for pop and forwarding.... unless it's because my address is a UK one.

[edit]

This is the quote I get from non-classic mail.

Quote:
POP & Forwarding

Pardon our appearance during construction
We're still tweaking the Yahoo! Mail POP & Forwarding option. Temporarily you'll need to access it through the Yahoo! Mail Classic interface. But, rest assured, any changes made will take effect once you've reloaded the Yahoo! Mail.
So, either you guys don't get the same options as us.. or they just don't tell you about it, lol

Naw, the US dont have free POP access. Cause its only exclusive to their "subscribe" members with their online server "SBC".

Yeah, It is weird. Just cause Yahoo have their own local service "telephone company" so they try and squeeze every penny they can for any extra service, lol. But there is an application, which does IMAP from Yahoo to Email clients, but its super slow and must be runned on a server or a local PC.
